7 WEEK WORKSHOPS | $255.00 + HST (SEVEN 3 HOUR CLASSES ONCE A WEEK)

Thursdays from 6:00pm - 9:00pm Starting October 17th

Have you ever wondered how jewellery is made? What processes and techniques are required to transform silver, copper, brass and stones into works of art? If you would like to learn how to create your own ring, earrings, or bracelet, this is your chance! In this 7 week course participants will learn the basic skills involved in jewelry making. You will build and design your own earrings. Shape, solder and clean your own band ring and finally, learn how to make an impressive byzantine bracelet from start to finish. We will be working with materials such as sterling silver, brass and copper and will learn about the following techniques; sawing, shaping, sanding, filing, soldering, polishing, assembling.... and much more.

MATERIAL COST: Depending on projects/material type chosen by participants $30.00-$80.00 to be paid to the instructor during of the Workshop.

PLEASE NOTE: Participants may also need to purchase materials from the NBCCD Student store, to be discussed in class.

Instructor- Kristianne Levesque

Kristianne Levesque, better known as Kiki is an award winning graduate from the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design. She started her own business in 2010; Unforgotten Metal Art, which has built pieces for NB power, philanthropy in action, turnaround awards and much more. Her work has also been commissioned by the province as gifts for a number of political figures around the world, including our prime minister. She is also the creator of Bite The Bullet, a jewelry and accessories line made from upcycled bullet casings.

What do I need to bring to the course?

Please check the description above for material fee and additional items to bring. Material fee will need to be in cash to be paid to the instructor the day of the course.

What's the refund policy?

Attendees can receive full refunds up to 7 days before your events start date. After that, a special request will need to be made to the organizer.

Upon cancellation of the workshops due to low enrolment or extenuating circumstance a refund will be granted, Eventbrite will retain processing fees.
