All over the world wool, and felt are praised by people of all ages for it’s light, soft, warm ,yet breathable texture. In this weekend workshop learn from felting instructor, and textile artist Tina Sharapova, the art of crafting warm felted slippers, perfect for the long cold seasons ahead. During this workshop participants will be taught how to make slipper patterns of various sizes and styles, so your slippers will fit properly. Participants will learn all stages of wet felting: from laying the wool, rubbing, fulling and finally - decorating your new wool slippers, which you won’t ever want to take off.

MATERIAL COST: $30.00 to be paid to the instructor on the day of the workshop.

Instructor – Tina Sharapova

Tina Sharapova was born in Moscow, Russia. She tried different handicrafts as a child and decided to become an artist to make beautiful things. Her formal art training took place at the Moscow College of Arts and Crafts with majors in carpets and tapestry making. Eventually she came to felt-making, which was close to the carpets for its soft texture and great many usages. In 2016 Tina came to Fredericton, New Brunswick, to get a diploma in Textile Design at the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design (NBCCD), she graduated in summer 2018. Tina is also a member of NB Crafts Council.

What's the refund policy?

Attendees can receive full refunds up to 7 days before your events start date. After that, a special request will need to be made to the organizer.

Upon cancellation of the workshops due to low enrolment or extenuating circumstance a refund will be granted, Eventbrite will retain processing fees.
