7 WEEK COURSES  | Wednesdays 6 PM – 9 PM | Starts February 16

Do you have prior ceramics experience? This class enables you to expand your knowledge in pottery and practice new ceramic techniques. Focus will be placed on increasing wheel throwing and trimming methods and may also include decorating skills. You will learn to attach and build by hand in a way that is enjoyable and fun. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to work with local artist Jess Kelly and nurture your inner potter.

Materials: On the first evening participants will be required to purchase materials below Materials available in the College Store. (edVentures students have 20% off discount. Please present your eventbrite receipt to access discount)

Box of mid smooth stone clay - $71.70 ( price per box of clay). One-two boxes may be necessary. Pottery tool sets are available at the college store or students are welcome to bring their own set of tools

The Instructor: Jess Kelly graduated from the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design in 2011 with a Ceramics Diploma. Since graduating she has been working in pottery while living in the city of Fredericton. Her work ranges from everyday functional wear to one of a kind sculptural work. Jess is very enthusiastic about her craft and enjoys sharing her knowledge. She is a Pottery Technician at NBCCD and also teaches evening classes through LEAP.
