Description

FULL DAY WORKSHOPS | $85 + HST (ONE 6 HOUR CLASS)

In a world where ripped jeans are more expensive, than those without rips, those holes and tears have to look intentional and be in the right places. If holes show up in unwanted places (crotch area for example), most of us just toss them in the trash instead of taking the time and effort to save the garment. Well, this is your chance to save the clothes you love from the landfill and fix them yourself!

Materials: $15 material fee, payable in cash to the instructor the day of the course. Please bring garments you wish to save/mend and fabric for patching if you have a fabric in mind. The instructor will provide thread, sewing machines and if you don’t have your own a few fabrics to choose from.

The instructor: Lydia Stewart originally from Miramichi, NB and is now based in Fredericton. Lydia studied at the University of New Brunswick before earning her Fashion Design Diploma in 2019 from NBCCD. Her debut collection "Nefarious," showcases undeniably feminine tailored looks and couture gowns. Currently, Lydia's focus is sustainability and creates custom made-to-measure garments for clients from upcycled materials in her home studio.
