FULL DAY WORKSHOPS | $85 + HST (ONE 6 HOUR CLASS ON A SATURDAY)
Explore your own imagination by creating a dreamscape or narrative using already existing imagery! During this one-day workshop, participants will learn basic layering, shaping and cutting techniques which will enable them to create a one-of-a-kind piece using found imagery, accompanied with other mark-making instruments such as paints, and inks. Try something new, and free yourself with the relaxing art of collage!
Materials: $15 material fee, payable in cash to the instructor the day of the course. Inks, paints and papers will be provided but participants are welcome to bring additional photographs, magazines, paints and scissors.
The instructor: Bayonne Rongen is a multimedia artist based in Fredericton, New Brunswick that primarily focuses on collage and printmaking. She completed her undergraduate degree at Mount Allison University. Rongen's work depicts the imaginary and dream like worlds which draws from her own experience. As a child who immigrated from The Netherlands, Rongen is heavily influenced by traditional Dutch folklore and combines it with childlike themes to create her own narrative of dreamscapes
