THREE DAY WORKSHOPS | July 3 - 5th, 9 am - 4 pm
Watercolour is a fun, expressive and versatile medium. In this class you will be introduced to colour mixing, techniques and helpful tips that will have you well on your way to creating successful paintings of simple landscapes, still life, and abstract works. The focus will be on fun and learning while creating paintings you can be proud of. What you learn here will give you the base to confidently play with your watercolours on your own time at home.
MATERIAL COST: Approximately $40.00+HST, materials can be purchased from the College store on the first day of the workshop. A detailed list will be shared by the instructor a few days before the course begins.
The Instructor: Mariecke Leavitt has always been interested in the arts, studying for a B.A in Classics and Applied Arts, a B.Ed. High School Art Education and a M.Ed. in Curriculum Development with a focus on Art and Creativity from UNB. She has been teaching art for over 20 years, continually learning. Mariecke gets great satisfaction from seeing her students attempt new skills and gain confidence and pride in themselves through their learning. Creating art has the precious ability to calm, heal, and increase mental wellness through the creative process.
