Watercolour is a fun, expressive and versatile medium. In this class you will be introduced to colour mixing, techniques and helpful tips that will have you well on your way to creating successful paintings of simple landscapes, still life, and abstract works. The focus will be on fun and learning while creating paintings you can be proud of. What you learn here will give you the base to confidently play with your watercolours on your own time at home.

MATERIAL COST: $50.00 to be paid to the instructor on the day of the workshop.

Instructor- Mariecke Leavitt

Mariecke Leavitt has always been interested in the arts, studying for a B.A in Classics and Applied Arts, a B.Ed. High School Art Education and a M.Ed. in Curriculum Development with a focus on Art and Creativity from UNB. She has been teaching art for over 20 years, continually learning. Mariecke gets great satisfaction from seeing her students attempt new skills and gain confidence and pride in themselves through their learning. Creating art has the precious ability to calm, heal, and increase mental wellness through the creative process.


What do I need to bring to the course?

Please check the description above for material fee and additional items to bring. Material fee will need to be in cash to be paid to the instructor the day of the course.

What's the refund policy?

In the event that a course is cancelled a 100% refund will be granted to the participant.

Upon request of a refund participants will receive a 100% refund (minus the Eventbrite fees approx. 6% of the sale) until 7 days before the course.

7 - 2 days a special request must be made to the Edventures Coordinator, and a 50% refund will be granted.

Refunds will not be given if requested within 48 hours of the course beginning.
