TWO DAY WORKSHOPS | $150 + HST

The Creating a Pendant and Earrings workshop is a two-day course designed for introducing basic jewellery making skills resulting in a finished product. This course will offer time for designing jewellery, how to take an idea from paper to metal using tools, such as hammers, pliers and jeweler’s saw, and finally, learning proper finishing techniques. Students will practice new skills on copper but are encouraged to use sterling silver for their final work. Day one will begin with a short lecture and slideshow to get the creative juices flowing. The course will end with a round table show and tell with a finished pendant and earring set. This course is a great opportunity to create a custom gift or use your imagination to make something unique for yourself!

MATERIAL COST: $15.00 to be paid to the instructor on the day of the workshop. Participants should expect to spend an additional ___________ in the college store. Please also bring along a writing utensil , an apron or “play” clothes, hair elastics (If you have long hair) , closed toed shoes , trimmed nails (encouraged) , and a sketchbook or notebook.

Instructor - Sarah Hill

Sarah Hill is a metal artist based in Fredericton, New Brunswick. In 2019 she earned her Diploma in Fine Craft for Jewellery/ Metal Arts at the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design (NBCCD). Sarah holds a juried membership with Craft NB and is currently studying in the Advanced Studio Practice Program at NBCCD. Although focused on establishing her jewellery business Saraphina Designs, she continues to display her contemporary work nationally. Over the last few months she has received opportunities for teaching and coordinating within NBCCD and looks forward to developing workshops and co-operative initiatives for her community in the future.

MATERIAL COST: $60.00 to be paid to the instructor on the day of the workshop.

What do I need to bring to the course?

Please check the description above for material fee and additional items to bring. Material fee will need to be in cash to be paid to the instructor the day of the course.

What's the refund policy?

In the event that a course is cancelled a 100% refund will be granted to the participant.

Upon request participants will receive a 100% refund (minus the Eventbrite fees approx. 6% of the sale) until 7 days before the course.

7 - 2 days a special request must be made to the Edventures Coordinator, and a 50% refund will be granted.

Refunds will not be given if requested within 48 hours of the course beginning.
