Painting Spaces and Places is a 5-day course designed to equip students with some of the techniques, practices, formal ideas, and conceptual concerns of realist landscape painting. Using acrylic paint, the course will strive to give students the skills, ideas, and confidence to make painting a serious, enjoyable, and thoughtful practice of self-expression.

Material fee: Approximately $50.00 the instructor will send out a material list before the first class

Instructor - Jared Peters

Jared Peters is a contemporary artist and art educator engaged with themes of painting, history, power, and identity. He was a semifinalist in the 2011 RBC Painting Competition, and his work can be found in collections across Canada and internationally. He received a BA in History from the University of New Brunswick, a BFA from NSCAD University, and an MFA in Visual Arts from the University of Western Ontario. He has taught art to students of all ages and abilities across the country, most recently at NBCCD. He currently lives and works in New Brunswick, Canada.


What do I need to bring to the course?

Please check the description above for material fee and additional items to bring. Material fee will need to be in cash to be paid to the instructor the day of the course.

What's the refund policy?

In the event that a course is cancelled a 100% refund will be granted to the participant.

Upon request of a refund participants will receive a 100% refund (minus the Eventbrite fees approx. 6% of the sale) until 7 days before the course.

7 - 2 days a special request must be made to the Edventures Coordinator, and a 50% refund will be granted.

Refunds will not be given if requested within 48 hours of the course beginning.
