***Visiting Instructor!

In this three day workshop learn how to dye with natural earth pigments. The instructor will have clay from the Bay of Fundy and Prince Edward Island, as well as colourful earth pigments and clays from around the world. Participants will start the first day by learning a brief history of the craft. We will then learn how to prepare the pre-treatments for the cloth. Students will be taught how to map out their various repeats and designs. On the third day we will be bringing those designs to life. The instructor will bring a full toolkit for participants to choose from.

MATERIAL COST: $25.00 to be paid to the instructor on the day of the workshop. Please note: Designs must be left to set for at least one week before they are safe to launder and take home. If this is not possible for any students involved, they should contact the instructor directly to arrange for postage.
